Freedom Hockey Tournament

JJ traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to participate in the Freedom Hockey Tournament! He played great and we're so proud of him. His team was called the Memphis Kings (Mite B division). Out of the 4 games they played, JJ scored a total of 7 goals with a lot of assists. In game 2 on Saturday, he scored the first 3 goals, so he had a "natural hat trick"!! Yay, JJ!!!


Game 1 against Huntsville: Win 5-1
Game 2 against Jr Mudbugs: Win 6-3
Game 3 against Duluth: Win 8-1
Game 4 against Duluth: Win 8-0 (This was to see who would go to the championship game.)

On Monday, they had the championship game. It was JJ's team against Huntsville. His team lost; the score was 3-0. Even though they didn't win, they played great and they were the talk of the tournament! JJ is an excellent ice hockey player.

12/05/09 games

JJ had 3 games on Saturday, December 5, 2009. He had 2 Squirts games and a Mites game, so he had a busy hockey day!

In his first Squirts game, JJ scored 2 goals with 3 assists. They won 7 to 6.

They also won their second Squirts game 4 to 2. The ref called a penalty on JJ in this game for tripping (although, none of us saw it. JJ said it wasn't tripping, but he still had to sit in the penalty box for 1 minute 30 seconds). He was Assistant Captain in this game!

In his Mites games, he played against the White team first. JJ scored 2 goals and the game was a tie 6 to 6.

Next, they played against the Yellow team. JJ scored 4 goals with 1 assist. They won this game with a score of 12 to 8.

11/21/09 Game

JJ had a Mites game early this morning. His game started at 7:45!

They played the Black team at first. JJ scored the very first goal in this game, and then...bam!...scored another one! When they switched, JJ's team then played the against the yellow team.

He played good today and he had a lot of fun doing it!
